A gifted singer, she has emerged as a leading ‘performing and recording artiste’ from the soils of Rajasthan creating her own style of music.
Born in the family devoted towards music, at an early age her mother put her under the guidance of Pt. Durgesh Mishra & Pt.Shrikant Bhakre where she was exposed to its various forms.
Her debut music album “Teri Chahat Mein” released by Times Music in 2005 won nomination for the "Best New Voice Category" ( INDI-POP ) at Sahara One Sangeet Awards, Oakland USA, in 2005. The video song was regularly aired in Lufthansa flights. The album speaks about shades of love and emotions coupled with soulful lyrics and melody.
Her next album – “Padaro Mhare Dess” released by Times Music on the occasion of Rajasthan day, 30th March 2011 at Birla auditorium in Jaipur. The album was released by Hon'ble chief minister of Rajasthan Shri Ashok Gehlot.
The album features 9 tracks sung by Manesha but the highlight is the title track, 'Padharo Mhare Des' which engulfs rich tradition of Rajasthan, royal legacy with magic of folk. Sung and performed by 12 biggest 'Mozarts' of Indian music namely; the Ghazal Maven Jagjit Singh, the Sarangi sensation and vocalist Ustad Sultan Khan, the Grammy awardee and creator of Mohan Veena Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, the Classical Ghazal duo Ustad Ahmed Hussain & Mohammed Hussain, noted playback singer Roop Kumar Rathore along with renowned folk artistes from Rajasthan.
The song was nominated for 'Mirchi Music awards' 2012 and it had the privilege to be the campaign song for 'Pravasi Bhartiya Diwas 2011' held in Jaipur, meanwhile the song was regularly aired in British Airways flights.
Manesha has also taken up a noble initiative to restore the glory of Rajasthani folk music and bring the much awaited ‘recognition’ to the ace – folk artistes through her association with Arpan Foundation.
She is set to perform at national and International music fests and she is also exploring musical collaborations with 'world music' & 'folk musicians'.
